Infected Songbook Mind Bomb Plastic Brain 1989 Tour Programme
1989 Tour Jacket I Saw The Light Screensaver

Infected Songbook

[124 pages, Warner Brothers, UK, 1987]

notes

This is a very nice 124 paged trade paperback called "Infected 1979-1987", but everybody just refers to it as the Infected Songbook. According to the introduction, "Although the main thrust of this book is the Infected project, it also includes virtually every lyric [and the more 'suitable' sheet music] I’ve written since 1979." So along with sheet music for fifteen different songs [from four different albums], there are lots of lyrics, photos, paintings and other oddities. The albums in question are Burning Blue Soul, Soul Mining, Infected, and The Pornography Of Despair. This book was printed in one run and hasn't been pressed since. It also includes lots of artwork from Andy Dog.

Mind Bomb Plastic Brain

[all information unknown]

notes

This promotional copy of "Mind Bomb" was shipped out in a bizarre 1:1 plastic brain with the CD inside of it. Oh the glorious, yet whacked philosophy that is corporate arts marketing. This was mentioned originally on Steve Shill's discography, but I should mention that to date, I have never seen a copy surface, ever, and I'm starting to believe this is a complete hoax.

The The vs. The World Tour Jacket

[Levi's, custom embroidered denim jacket, c.1989-1990]

notes

This is a Levi's denim jacket embroidered with the band logo. It was used during the 1989 "vs. The World" tour. The shots seen below are from an auction on eBay where it was sold for 41 pounds. Although you can't clearly see it in the auction photos, the embroidering apparently reads "the the versus the world" and "Brockum, New York, Toronto, London".

I Saw The Light Screensaver

[Epic [BSS 61119], US, Windows 3.11, c.1995]

notes

This box contains a 1.44 MB floppy disc containing a Windows 3.11 compatible screen saver [does not work in Windows 9x or later] using images based around the video for "I Saw The Light". Originally sold in the US for about $10-11 US, it is, to put it bluntly, a very bad screensaver.
